RECEPIE -HYDERABAI RICE TAHARI

I went out for a friends party and he is from Chennai i am very found of food any state but tasty it should  be will top the list or me
so now when i went to this restaurant its very famous for a particular place biryani -(don;t wanna name it ) they game 8 dirhams 1/2 cup of colored rice with no meat they said is their biryani

me and my Friend looked at each Other;;s  face and he said no issues you taste if you like we buy  more hence we started and OMG this is no biryani this Hyderabad tahari

so i told my Friend in this much we can easily make this at home gave and gave him recipe
i guess you guys are also my Friends hence here is the recipe for you all too.

INGREDIENTS -

·                                 Rice 1/2 kg
·                                 Onion 3
·                                 ginger Paste 1 tbsp
·                                 Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
·                                 Red Chilli Powder 2 tbsp
·                                 Salt To taste
·                                 Turmeric Powder 2 tbsp
·                                 Yoghurt 1 cup
·                                 Tomato 1 cup
·                                 Green Chilli 1/2 cup
·                                 Coriander seeds 1/2 tbsp
·                                 Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
·                                 Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
·                                 Potatoes(cut in cubes) 1 cup
·                                 Onions(browned) 2 tbsp
·                                 Oil 1 cup
·                                 Almonds(julienne) 1/4 cup

·                                 Yellow Food Colour 1-2 Pinch.

·  Heat oil and fry onions till brown.
Add ginger, garlic, salt, red chili, turmeric, tomatoes and yogurt and cook for a while.
Later, add mutton -pressure cooked  with little salt and ginger garlic paste and turmeric  cook and mix well.
in separate big vessel

Now add uncooked rice (saute rice 5 minutes than and 1 &1/2 cups water.
Cook rice -little red Dal(masoor) spoon on high flame.(1kg rice-100 grams )red Dal
When water evaporates, add food colour and simmer on low flame.
When the rice tenderize, add cumin, garam masala, green chillies, coriander.
Garnish with almonds and browned onions and serve with raita, salad and chutney.
